Jeannine Logie
Jeannine came to Yoga during a period of hardship in her personal life. She took her first class at Mandala Yoga in Amagansett and was hooked by her second class. A gymnast during her childhood, Jeannine had yearned in adulthood to find the same fulfillment gymnastics had offered her body but was unable to find a realistic means of doing so out here on the East End. Then she discovered Yoga. Yoga asana spoke to her body and spirit in a way that no other physical activity had. As she continued her practice, she found that through asana, pranayama, chant, meditation and Yogic philosophy she had filled an emptiness within her. She wished to pass this gift along to others and so, along with her collaboration with Jenny Baker, “Sangha” was born.
Jeannine completed her teacher training at Mandala Yoga in Amagansett, led by Jolie Parcher of Mandala and Lauren Hanna of Sonic Yoga in NYC. Jeannine teaches Vinyasa Flow and incorporates all aspects of Yoga in her classes. She believes in teaching mindfulness of one’s body and Self through asana, breath work and meditation.
Jeannine trained under Kam Thye Chow with the Lotus Palm School of Montreal to receive her certification in Thai Yoga Bodywork. Please see the section Thai Yoga Bodywork on our website for further details.
Forever a student of Yoga and of life, Jeannine thanks all those who have inspired her on her journey.
