We are Montauk’s locally owned and operated Yoga studio.

We are open year-round. We consider Yoga a life-long journey, one  we are committed to offer to all students, from all backgrounds.

Since we believe that the benefits of practicing Yoga should be accessible to everyone, we operate on a donation- based system. This means that you give what you can afford.

For this fall and winter our suggested donation is $12.  If you can give more, please do. If you can only give less, please come and give what you can.

Mahatma Gahndi said ” Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

We are being the change, let us inspire you!

From HAMPTONS MAGAZINE August:  “STAY ZEN” in Montauk:   Sangha means “community” in Sanskrit, and that’s exactly what you’ll find at Sangha Yoga’s small but well-trafficked studio. There’s no need to sign up for classes in advance, and the breed of Hatha Yoga taught there is perfect for all levels. They also do private, semi-private and group classes on the beach by appointment.”

Answers to some frequently asked questions:

What type of Yoga do you teach:
We teach many forms of Hatha Yoga, the type of Yoga frequently practiced in the U.S. A. ( think postures). Our teachers come from different disciplines of Hatha Yoga, including Iyengar, Vinyasa Flow, Anusara and Ashtanga. We also offer HOT Yoga in the form of an Open Level Vinyasa Flow class.  Please read a teachers bio to get a better idea of their teaching and philosophy.

Do I need to sign up for class in advance?
There is no need to sign up in advance. Just come a few minutes prior to the class so that you can fill out a bit of paperwork and find a space. We operate on a first come, first served basis.

I have never done Yoga before. Can I come to Sangha?
Sangha welcomes all levels of students. So that you get the most out of your experience here, we suggest that you come to one of our Gentle classes. As you get more comfortable in your practice, you can experiment in our Open Level classes to figure out which style and teachers you are drawn to. As you progress, explore higher level classes.

I have an injury. Can I come to Sangha?
Everyone and anyone is welcome at Sangha. Please talk to your Dr. about your participation in Yoga, and please come to a class that suits your level of experience. Be sure to write your injury on our sign-up sheet and also please tell your teacher about your injury.

Do you do Kids Yoga?  We run different programs for children throughout the year.  Please join our mailing list by clicking at the top of this page.

If we haven’t answered your question, please shoot us an email or give us a call. We look forward to you joining your Sangha.
